Rev. George Augustus Bright Smith        1827-1882
George was born about 1827, the son of Bright Smith and Mary Ann Nash, in London. He married Lydia Adelina Ellen Williams.
He matriculated at Wadham College, Oxford, on May 28, 1845. He got his BA in 1849 and his MA not until 1871. Curate  of  Foston,  Yorks,  1850-51;  Crambe,  Yorks  (near Malton) 1851-61; and Huttons Ambo, Yorks, 1861-71. Late in life, he had the family name changed to Bright-Smith.
He lived at Buscot Lodge, Warwick Road, Maida Hill, then at Oakfield, Worcester. He owned the British Coffee House, at 27 Cockspur Street, London, and also land at Edgeware and at Buscot Lodge, Middlesex.

Lydia Adelina Ellen Williams                   1827-1874
Lydia was born on 30 December 1827, the daughter of Benjamin Bacon Williams and Mary Toldervy Oatley, in Paris, France.

  On the 9th inst., at Buscot Lodge, Maida Hill, W., of inflammation of the lungs, Lydia Adelina Ellen, the beloved wife of the Rev. G. A. Bright Smith.

  On the 24th Sept., suddenly, after a long illness, at Oakfield, Near Worcester, the Rev. George Augustus Bright-Smith, M.A., formerly Vicar of Huttons Ambo, Yorkshire, eldest son of the late Bright Smith, Esq., of Hove, Sussex, dearly loved, and deeply mourned.
