Vandeleur Bright Smith                     1868-1938
Vandeleur was born about 1868, the son of George Augustus Bright Smith and Lydia Adelina Ellen Williams, at Malton, Yorkshire. Vandeleur was educated at Harrow, then admitted as a pensioner to Trinity Hall, Cambridge on July 7, 1887. He matriculated at Michaelmas. He got his B.A. in 1890. He was church warden of All Saints, Little Shelford, and was a lieutenant in the Royal Army Service Corps during World War I.

Ethel was born about 1867, the daughter of John Dunn and Mary Elizabeth Bowen, at Cambridge, Cambridgeshire.
