Robert Milburn 1865-1944 Robert was born 25 June 1865, the son of John Milburn and Dorothy Cleasby, in Newfield. He was 24 years old, (Marriage Certificate says 25) and resided at 26 Hill St. Tunstall, when he married Elizabeth Davison, on 17 April 1890, in the Register Office in Sunderland. He was a Coalminer. The certificate of marriage erroneously lists his father, John Milburn, as Deceased. (John Milburn appeared alive and well, in the April 1901 Census.) Elizabeth Davison 1869-1929 Elizabeth was born on 21 February 1869, the daughter of Richard Davison and Sarah Jane Thompson, at Cottages, Seaham Harbour. She was 17 years old, and resided at 13 Lamb St., Ryhope, when she had a daughter, Margaret Ann, on 19 January 1887. (No father was named on the birth certificate.) She was 21 years old, and resided at 11 Burdon St. Ryhope when she married Robert Milburn on 17 April 1890. The 1911 Census indicates that they had ten children, but one had died. I have identified the following children: |
