Francis John Gregory Bowen             1871- Francis was born about 1871, the son of Crawford Townshend Bowen and Hannah Elizabeth Tate, at Gainford, County Durham. He was a captain in the merchant marine, and evidently became an employee of the East India Company. He was a commander of India River Steam Navigation Co., living in Hastings, Calcutta. He married Jocelyne Channon Koch in West Bengal, Calcutta, India, and all his children were born there. Jocelyne Channon Koch                    1873-1940 Jocelyne was born about 1873, the daughter of Dr. Edwin Lawson Koch and Emma Miller, at Jaffna, Northern Province, Ceylon.
