MAJOR W. B. BONN AND MISS DAVIDSON The marriage took place yesterday at the Oratory, Brompton, of Major Walter Basil Bonn, D.S.O., M.C., late Welsh Guards, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Bonn, to Lena, youngest daughter of the late Colonel Leslie Davidson and Lady Theodora Davidson, of Hampton Court Palace. The bride, who was given away by her mother, wore a tunic of silver tissue with an overdress of white satin beauté, heavily embroidered in diamanté. The train was of tulle and silver lace, and was borne by her nephews, Master Simon and Master Christopher Maude. She also wore a pearl necklace and pearl earrings. The pages were dressed in short apricot taffeta breeches and georgette blouses, with Byron collars, while the five little bridesmaids - Miss |
Jacqueline Maude (Niece of the bride), Miss Ursula Taggert, Miss Rosemary Douglas, Miss Mary Chichester, and Miss Ann Fitzroy - were in silver tissue slips with white frilled overskirts and wreaths of apricot rosebuds. They carried bouquets of Sunburst roses, tied with apricot ribbon. Captain Rawle, a brother officer of the bridegroom, was best man, and Father Crewse officiated. There was a reception afterwards at Maude's Hotel, Queen's-gate. Major and Mrs. Bonn left afterwards for a motor-car tour in the south of France, the latter going away in a dress of navy-blue gaberdine, with a white pleated waistcoat, a blue cloth motor coat with fur collar and cuffs, and a toque ornamented with bird-of-Paradise. |
