MARRIAGES
MR. A.R.A. DORRIEN-SMITH AND MISS
LUCAS-TOOTH

The marriage took place yesterday at Holy Trinity, Sloane Street, of Mr. Algernon Robert Augustus Dorrien-Smith, 15th/19th The King's Royal Hussars, eldest son of Major and Mrs. Dorrien-Smith, of Tresco Abbey, Isles of Scilly, and Miss Rosemarie Helen Lucas-Tooth, elder daughter of the late Major Sir Leonard Lucas-Tooth and of Mrs. John Smyth-Osbourne, of Hardres Court, Canterbury.   The Rev. F.C. Timins officiated, assisted by Canon Boscawen and Canon Morris.
The bride, who was given away by her step-father, Major J. Smyth-Osbourne, wore a gown of ivory satin, the front of the square-necked bodice gauged and finished with a spray of orange blossom.   The train was cut in one with the skirt and the veil of old Limerick lace, lent by her grandmother, was held in place by a halo headdress of lace and orange-blossom.   She carried a bouquet of lapigeria, myrtle, and rosemary.   The two little attendants - Celia Primrose Smyth-Osbourne (half-sister of the bride) and Susan Dorrien-Smith (cousin of the bridegroom) - wore full-skirted frocks of ivory net and carried bouquets of Talisman roses.   There were eight grown-up bridesmaids - Miss Christine Lucas-Tooth (sister of the bride), Miss Anne and Miss Innis Dorrien-Smith (sisters of the bridegroom), Miss Daphne Jordan, Miss Pamela Longuet-Higgins, Miss Elizabeth Vaughan-Lee, Miss Pamela Pomfret, and Miss Marcia Smyth-Osbourne.   They wore dresses of shaded tearose pink and apricot-coloured net with headdresses of leaves shaded to match.   They carried bouquets of Talisman roses.   Mr. John Quiliter was best man, and N.C.O.s of the 15th/19th The King's Royal Hussars formed a guard of honour as the bride and bridegroom left the church.   Mrs. Smyth-Osbourne afterwards held a reception at 143, Piccadilly, (lent by the bride's grandmother Helen Lady Lucas-Tooth).
