Jane Atkinson 1843- 1907

Duncan McPhail 1837-1895
Duncan was born about 1837, at Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland, the son of Malcolm McPhail and Mary McMaster. He was a colliery horse keeper, like his father, at the time of his marriage, but left the pit to work as a coal merchant, and later a coal agent. He married Jane Atkinson on 6 September 1864. He died at age 58 at his home in Barrhead, Renfrewshire, Scotland.
Jane Chicken Atkinson 1843-1908
Jane was born on 3 January 1843, in Kelloe, County Durham, the daughter of James Atkinson and Margaret Ramsay. She moved with her family to Nitshill about 1853 and married Duncan McPhail ten years later. She died 15 July 1908 in Barrhead, Renfrewshire, Scotland.
