William Tipling                   1865-1941
William was born about 1865, the son of Thomas and Choice Tipling, near Thornley Colliery. The family decided to emigrate to Southern Illinois in the U.S.. William first came over in 1902, and prepared for the arrival of the rest of his family. They followed in April 1903 onboard the S. S. Celtic of the White Star Line.

Elizabeth was born about 1869, the daughter of John Moore and Ester Wilson, at Merrington Lane, County Durham.
