Sir William Michael Curtis Bt.           1859-1916
William was born on 11 November 1859, the son of William Edmund Curtis and Ariana Emily Master, at Almondsbury, Gloucestershire.
Upon the death of his grandfather, Sir William Curtis, he became Sir William Michael Curtis, the Fourth Baronet of Culland's Grove.   Sir William, despite his age volunteered for the 1914-18 war and served in the King's Shropshire Light Infantry.   In 1916, he contracted pneumonia in France, and returned home, but failed to recover.
