  CHAYTOR - On the 8th inst., at Croft, Sir William Chaytor, Baronet, aged 58.

The Times, Wednesday, Aug 12, 1896               OBITUARIES
  Sir William Chaytor, who died at Croft, Yorkshire, on the 8th inst., was son of Sir William Richard Chaytor, the second baronet, by his first wife, Annie, daughter of Mr. Lacy, of Easingwold, and was born in 1837.   He succeeded to the title in 1871.   He was educated at the Military School, Edinbrough, and was formerly captain in the 1st Durham Militia.   He married, in 1866, Mary, youngest daughter of Lieutenant-Colonel Henry van Straubenzee, of Spenithorne, Yorkshire, and niece of the second Lord Wrottesley.   He is succeeded by his eldest son, William Henry Edward, who was born in 1867, and has been educated at Harrow.

DOWAGER LADY CHAYTOR
  The sudden death has occurred at Tunbridge Wells of the Dowager Lady Chaytor, widow of the late Sir William Chaytor, the third baronet, who died in 1896.   Lady Chaytor, who was 78 years of age, was the youngest daughter of the late Lieutenant-Colonel H. van Straubenzee, of Spennithorne, Yorks.
