Robert Black                                       1838-1920
Robert was born on 14 May 1838, the son of David Black and Jane McAlpine, in Glasgow. He was educated at Glasgow University from 1854 to 1857. On 2 April 1871 he was Minister of the UP Church in Hamilton. From 1878 to 1891 he was District Secretary of the British and Foreign Bible Society. He was educated at Downing College, Cambridge from 9 April 1883 to 1886. From 1886 to 1890 he was Chaplain, St Andrew-the-less,Cambridge. From 1891 to 1904 he was Vicar of Ramsey, Huntingdon. From 1892 to 1913 he was Surrogate, Diocese of Ely. From 1899 to 1904 he was Rural Dean of St Ives. From 1904 to 1913 he was Rector of Sawtree All Saints' with St Andrew's, Huntingdon. He was resident in Exmouth, Devon. On 2 April 1911 he was a Clergyman, Established Church in Sawtry. He died on 23 July 1920 in Bridestow, Devon








Louisa Catherine Potter                      1847-1931
Louisa was born on 11 August 1847, the daughter of Lewis Potter and Margaret Muirhead, at Partick, Lanarkshire, Scotland. She was educated at Miss Law's School in 1862 in Hamilton. She won a prize for Examination on the Epistle to the Galatians, plus a Special prize for Biblical knowledge
