Professor Patrick Davidson of Inchmarlo   1809-1881 Professor Patrick Davidson of Inchmarlo LLB, DL, JP, was born about 1809, at Aberdeen, Aberdeen, Scotland. He married Mary Anne Leslie of Warthill. He was Professor of Civil Law at The University of Aberdeen, later appointed Deputy Lieutenant and Justice of The Peace for The County of Aberdeen

    DAVIDSON - On the 14th October, at Inchmarlo Cottage, Banchory, Mary Margaret Davidson, fourth daughter of the late Patrick Davidson, of Inchmarlo, from sudden heart failure, after 11 days continuous journeying from Germany.

    DAVIDSON - On the 14th March, at Inchmarlo, Banchory, N.B., suddenly of pneumonia, passed peacefully home, Duncan Davidson, of Inchmarlo, the precious husband of Ethel H. Davidson, in his 76th year.   Funeral to the resting place, Inchmarlo, tomorrow (Tuesday).   Service at house, 2 p.m.   No flowers, by his request.   Please accept this as a general invitation.

B., Frances Mary, second daughter of the late Patrick Davidson, of Inchmarlo, in her 81st year.   Lady of Grace of the Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem in England and Foundress of St. Columba's Hospital or Home of Peace for the Dying, Swiss Cottage, London, N.W.   Funeral on Wednesday, the 22nd Sept.   Service at Inchmarlo Cottage at 12 noon, and afterwards at Banchory Churchyard.   Friends, please accept this, the only invitation.

    DAVIDSON - On the 12th May, at 14 Craiglockhart-terrace, Edinburgh, Katherine Helen, Senior Deaconess of the Church of Scotland, third daughter of the late Patrick Davidson, of Inchmarlo, in her 80th year.

    DAVIDSON - On Monday June 26, 1939, at Inchmarlo Cottage, Banchory, George Lewis Outram Davidson, tenth and last surviving child of Patrick and Mary Anne Davidson, of Inchmarlo, in his 81st year.   Funeral service at Inchmarlo Cottage today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. and thence to Banchory Cemetery.

MARY MARGARET b.21 Dec. 1847 detained in Germany 4 Aug. to 29 Sept. returned home 9 Oct. d.l4 Oct.1914.

FRANCES MARY b.22 June 1840 Lady of Grace of the Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem in England & foundress in 1885 of the first Home of Peace for the dying now named St Columba's Hospital, London d. 18 Sept. 1920.

KATHERINE HELEN b.5 July 1845 one of the three Deaconesses first ordained by the Church of Scotland in 1889 also 1st deputy for the Women's Guild & pioneer in the work amongst Scottish fisher girls d.l2 May 1925 .

WILLIAMINA SAIDA b.l5 Nov. 1856 OBE. Honorary serving sister of the Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem & foundress of the Royal Soldiers Home & other soldiers homes in Scotland, d.20 Dec. 1937.

And of their 4th son GEORGE LOUIS OUTRAM DAVIDSON A founder member of the Royal Aeronautical Society b. 11 Sept. 1858 - d.26 June 1939.
