Dr. Leonard Smalley                           1898-1974
Leonard was born on 6 February 1898.
Their only son, Reginald Leonard Murray Smalley, was killed at age 29, while the First Officer on a Cunard Eagle Airways flight which crashed into a mountain, on a charter flight to Norway, killing all aboard.

  SMALLEY - On August 9th, 1961, in Air Disaster, Norway, Murray Smalley, Malthouse Lane, Kenilworth, Beloved husband of Nina, and only son of Dr. and Mrs. Smalley.   Funeral 2:30 p.m., Friday, 18th August, St. Nicholas Church, Kenilworth.

Kenilworth man gets MBE
Dr Leonard Smalley, a member of Kenilworth Urban Council and chairman of the South Warwickshire Board, pictured outside Buckingham Palace after receiving his MBE from the Queen on Tuesday. Dr Smalley, who is also a local magistrate, is seen with his wife and granddaughter, Karen.
His home is at "Stockcroft", 53 Malthouse Lane, Kenilworth.
