Rev. John James Turner                 1831-1879
John was born on 31 January 1831, the son of John James Turner and Ann Ross, at Llandeofyl, Merionethshire, Wales. He attended St. John's College, Cambridge, and earned a B.A. and M.A.. He was Ordained by the Bishop of St. Asaph in 1854. He served as Curate of Hawarden, Berriew, Llanymynech Welshpool, and Whittington. He married Herriette Augusta Harrison. He was the Vicar-Designate of Buttington at his death, on 12 December 1879.

Harriette was born about 1845, the daughter of Richard Pryce Harrison and Harriette Cheke, at Welshpool, Montgomery, Wales.
