Jane Thompson                                                             1833-1912
Jane was born on 8 August 1833 of Robert Thompson and Sarah Lowes, at Jarrow, South Shields. She married George Wood on 7 February 1856. They sailed from Liverpool to New York City in 1869, traveled to Memphis, Tennessee, and settled on a farm about 15 miles south at Pleasant Hill, Mississippi.
