Rev. Henry Warren                                     1772-1845
Henry was born on 4 September 1772, the son of Richard Warren, M.D.F.A.S, Physician to George III, and Elizabeth Shaw.
He went to Westminster School, and was admitted to Trinity College, Cambridge on June 8, 1790, and matriculated at Michaelmas of that year. Scholar 1791, BA 1794, MA 1797. Deaconed at Bangor February 21, 1796 (i.e. he was ordained by his uncle, the Bishop of Bangor), and priested January  21, 1797. In 1797 he became prebend of Bangor and also
rector of Ashington, Sussex. In 1799 he became vicar of Farnham, Surrey. He held these last two positions (Farnham and Ashington) until he died in 1845 He married Eliza Mason. After 1829 assistant curates were again recorded, including two named Warren who were presumably relations of the rector. Henry also succeeded Roger Clough, (1789-1804) at Warminghurst, until 1835 or later, while rector of Ashington, and employed curates at Warminghurst.

Eliza Mason                                                          -1841
Eliza was the daughter of John Mason and Elizabeth Butts, now Dixon. On June 24, 1799, at nearby Wiggonholt, Eliza married the Rev. Henry Warren, and moved to Ashington Rectory. Their first child, also named Eliza, was born uncomfortably soon after the nuptials. Young Eliza would still be alive in 1881, living in Holdenhurst, Hants.
When Eliza's widowed mother, Elizabeth, died in 1827, she left everything to daughter, Eliza.
The Rev. Warren became the new owner of the Dixon house in Storrington, and rented it out to Mr Challen. He immediately sold to various buyers, the old Horne land that George had aquired in 1813 and 1817.
The Warrens continued to live at Ashington Rectory, with those  of  their  children  who  had not yet left home - young
Eliza Warren, Maria Warren, Percy Sloper Warren and Agnes Dixon Warren. There were three other Warren children. The eldest was Henry Jr, also a priest; Frederick; and Charlotte.
Charlotte had married the Rev. Ellis Roberts, vicar of Llanynys, Denbighshire, by whom she had children. Ellis Roberts died young, and Charlotte married again, to Henry Latham, who died in 1866. Charlotte later lived at Torquay. Eliza Warren died in 1841. Husband Henry drew up a new will the following week, and it was proved on Aug. 28, 1845, in London. All of the children now came in for a share of the pill business, at least the Warren half of the business. In 1845 the eldest Warren child, Henry, inherited the Dixon house in Storrington, and re-named it "The Bartons".
