George Graham                                    1840-1907
George was born 10 November 1840, the son of Thomas Graham and Mary Huggins, at Brecken Hill, Evenwood. This is near Bishop Auckland, Durham County. He was a colliery stoker in 1861, a brakesman in 1862, a coal miner in 1868, a coke  burner  in  1871,  and  from  1881  onwards,  a  colliery   engineman. In 1861, at age 20, he was lodging with another family in Thornley. He was 21 years old when he married 19 year old Jane Robson, on 13 January 1862, in the District Church in Thornley. The Vicar was W. Ashley Shute.

Jane Robson                                            1842
Jane was born in 1842, the daughter of William Robson and Ann Hall, and Christened on Christmas Day, in Thornley. On 3 April 1871, they resided at 3rd High Row, Shotton Colliery. On 4 April 1881 they resided at 14 Percey Street in the village   of Thornley. They had moved to Station Town, when son William was married on 23 December 1889, and resided at 7 East View Street on 6 April 1891.
They had the following children:
Mary Ann Born about 1862   Thornley

Note that Georgina was listed as Margaret in the 1881 census report, and Edward was listed as Ned in the 1891 census report. Margaret and Ned were nicknames.
