Louis Edward Dartnell                        1873-1943
Louis was born about 1873, the son of Edward Croker Dartnell and Ellen Alice De Ridder, at Callao, Peru. He was trained as a surgeon, and was appointed to the Naval Medical Service on 16 Nov 1896. His service record included: 10 Mar 1900 - HMS Ganges, 5 Mar 1902 - Hong Kong Hospital, 22 Mar 1906 - HMS Thames, 13 Aug 1908 - HMS Venus, 8 Dec 1910 - HMS Victorious, 5 Jan 1911 - HMS President. He retired with the rank of Surgeon Captain on 3 April 1923.
