Death
Sir Edward Payson Wills Died 13 Mar 1910, Age 76,  at Stoke Bishop, Bristol, Gloucester

The Times, Monday, March 14, 1910     OBITUARY
Sir Edward Payson Wills

Sir Edward Payson Wills. first baronet of Hazelwood, died at his daughter's home in Stoke Bishop, Bristol, last night, at the age of 76. He had been in weak health for some time, but it was only within the last few days that his illness began to create great anxiety.
Sir Edward Wills was a member of a Wiltshire family which has become well known both for it's great commercial interests and it's benevolence. He was a son of the late Mr. Henry Overton Wills, of Bristol, and a brother of the late Sir Frederick Wills. He was one of the first directors of the Imperial Tobacco Company, of which his first cousin, Lord Winterstoke, is chairman. He was decorated with the K.C.B. in 1899 when he was first president of the Convalescent Home in Bristol, to which
he had contributed £20,000 in commemoration of Queen Victoria's jubilee. Various other institutions in the city were relieved from time to time of much anxiety about finances by the generosity of Sir Edward Wills, and it is not so long ago since he gave £15,000 to the Bishop of Bristol to clear off the debt on the Palace. He was created a baronet in 1904 and was thus the third member of the family to receive that honour.
Sir Edward Wills married in 1858 Mary Ann, eldest daughter of the late Mr. Joseph Chaning Pearce, M.R.C.S., of Montague House, Bath. He is succeeded in the title by his son, Mr. Edward Chaning Wills, who was born in 1861, and married in 1891 Isabella Sommerville, eldest daughter of the late Mr. Peter Fabyan Sparke Evans, of Clifton Down, Bristol.

The Times, Thursday, Mar 17, 1910                   Funeral
