Edward Herbert Hayward               1871-1968 Edward was born on 6 June 1871, the son of Robart Hayward and Marian Milbank Abbot, at Chipping Ongar, Essex. Edward visited New Zealand in the mid 1890's with his uncle, Brainerd Hayward (1841-1912). He met the lovely Charlotte Bint, fell in love, sailed to England, where they married, but then decided to return and settle in New Zealand. Charlotte Bint                                  1878- Charlotte was born on 24 April 1878, the daughter of Philip Thomas Bint and Charlotte Allman, in Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand.
