Alexander Laing Lamb 1887-1966
Alexander was born on 21 February 1887, the son of Alexander Hill Kennedy Lamb and Elizabeth Mary Torry, at Birmingham, Warwickshire.
After the family moved to New Zealand, Alexander married a local woman, Margaret Young, became a draughtsman and house builder with his own business.
His houses often had English gables, were two storied and built of brick from the local brick works.
Some had a round "porthole" window as he too had a fascination for the sea.
Margaret Young 1886-1965
Margaret was born on 12 June 1886, the daughter of James Young and Grace Brown, at Timaru, New Zealand.
