The Will of Thomas Thompson 1815 - 1894 Dated 14 November 1890

This is the last Will and Testament of me, Thomas Thompson of No. 43 Tuam Street, Linwood, in the Provincial District of Canterbury, and Colony of New Zealand, Shipwright.

I revoke all Wills and Testamentary dispositions at any time heretofore made by me, and I Declare this to be my last Will and Testament. I appoint Robert Wendless Thompson of St Asaph Street in Christchurch aforesaid carpenter and my wife Jane Thompson (and being the mother of the said Robert Wendless Thompson) hereinafter called my Trustees Executor and Executrix and Trustees of this my Will

I give all my furniture, plate, linen, china, glass, books, pictures, furniture and other household effects and moveable things in or about my residence at the house of my decease to the said Jane Thompson absolutely

I devise and bequeath all my real and personal estate not hereby otherwise disposed of unto my Trustees Upon Trust that my Trustees shall collect and get all the real or annual income thereto In Trust to pay or allow the same to be retained by the said Jane Thompson during her life

and after her decease Upon Trust to convey transfer or set over unto Elizabeth Heissenbuttle wife of Benjamin Heissenbuttle of Styx in the said District Farmer (3) three acres of land with the store thereon situate at Flaxton in the said District

unto the said Robert Wendless Thompson a half an acre of land with a blacksmith shop and cottage adjoining thereon situate at Flaxton aforesaid

Unto Edward Thompson of Styx aforesaid a quarter acre of land with a cottage thereon situated near the said store at Flaxton aforesaid

and also
unto the said Robert Wendless Thompson my properties situated respectively at No 121 Barbadoes street Christchurch aforesaid and No 43 Tuam Street Linwood aforesaid

IN WITNESS whereof I the said Thomas Thompson have hereunto signed my name this fourteenth day of November one thousand eight hundred and ninety
