Robert Preston                                    1829-1914
Robert was born in July 1829, the son of Thomas Preston and Esther Milner, in the parish of Ravenstonedale, Westmorland. Shortly after he was mayor of Sunderland, County Durham, his wife Mary Ann died. He then packed up, and with five of his children, he immigrated to the United States, settling in Colorado.
