The Times, Friday, Jun 9, 1882                       OBITUARY
Baron Heath, Consul-General in London for the Kingdom of Italy, died a few days ago in Paris of inflammation of the lungs, at the age of 63 years.   The deceased, Baron Robert Amadeus Heath, was the eldest son of the late John Benjamin, Baron Heath, F.R.S., F.S.A. (who was Consul-General in London for Sardinia and Italy for upwards of 62 years), by his marriage, in 1811, with Sophia, daughter of the late Dr. Robert Bland, a London physician.   The second Baron Heath, whose death we now record, was born in 1818.   In 1879 he succeeded to the Italian Barony of Heath, conferred on his father by King Victor Emmanuel.   From 1844 to 1861 he was Vice-Consul in London for Sardinia, and represented United Italy in a similar capacity from 1861 to 1879.   In the later he succeeded his father as Consul-General.   Among the honours conferred upon him by the Italian Government was the dignity of Grand Officer of the Order of the Crown of Italy.   The late Baron Heath married, in 1847, Harriet, the eldest daughter of Mr. Thomas Keen, of Croydon, and of Couisdon, Surrey, and leaves a family of one son and two daughters.
