HM King Charles II of Great Britain K.G., Duke of Cornwall, Duke of Rothesay.
HM King Charles was born on 29 May 1630, the eldest son of HM Charles I Stuart, King of Great Britain and Henrietta Maria de Bourbon, at St James's Palace.
His father, King Charles I, was murdered on 30 January 1649, as the monarchy was overthrown. When the Monarchy was restored, Charles was crowned King Charles II at Westminster Abbey, on 23 April 1661. In 1662, he married Catarina Henriqueta de Bragança, Princeza de Portugal, who gave him possession of Bombay and Tangier, but no heirs.

Catarina Henriqueta de Bragança, Princeza de Portugal was born on 15 November 1638, the daughter of João IV de Bragança, Rei de Portugal and Luiza Maria de Guzman.
They had no surviving children.
