DEATH OF DEAN WACE
We deeply regret to announce that the Very Rev. Henry Wace, D.D., Dean of Canterbury, died at the Deanery yesterday afternoon at the age of 87.   In him the Church and the nation lose one who was in his day and generation a great religious force, while The Times loses an old and much-valued colleague.   He was chosen as a leader writer by Delane more than 60 years ago, and though his regular work ended on his appointment in 1884 as Principal of King's College, he always regarded himself as one of the staff, by no means rude donatus, and was an occasional contributor almost to the last.

FUNERALS
Dr. WACE
The funeral of the Dean of Canterbury, Dr. Wace, will take place tomorrow.   The service will be held in the nave of Canterbury Cathedral at 2 p.m., and permission has been obtained from the Privy Council for the internment to take place in the cloister garth.   It is probable that the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Vice-Dean, the Ven. J. V. Macmillan, will officiate.   The clergy of the diocese attending the funeral are requested to robe for the service, and it would be convenient if those who are able to attend would inform the Rev. the Sacrist, the Precincts, Canterbury.   A memorial service will also be held at Wadhurst at 12:30.
