Henry Mills                                       1823-1893
Henry was born on 23 October 1823, the son of William Mills and Lucy Dewe, at Harrow, Middlesex.   He entered the East India Company Military Service on 20 October 1840, and became a Major General on 12 August 1876.   He served in the campaign of 1842 in Afghanistan, and was present in the various actions from Candahar to Pesharajpore, 29 December 1843, and the Sutlej campaign of 1845-46, including the battles of Moodkee and Ferozeshah; and was also employed during the Indian Mutiny in 1857, in moving troops to the front.
Mary Anne Holroyd                          1829-1904
Mary was born on 8 August 1829, the daughter of George Chaplin Holroyd and Virginie Mottet De La Fontaine, at Exeter, Devonshire.
