FASHIONABLE WEDDING IN RYDE
On Tuesday morning a considerable amount of pleasurable excitement was visible in this town the occasion being the celebration of the marriage between Mr George Godwin Stancomb and Miss Elizabeth Alty, who are well known in Ryde and the neighbourhood. After the ceremony the bride and bridegroom left for London en route for the Continent, amid the congratulations and good wishes of their relatives and friends. The bride's travelling costume was of fawn coloured cashmere, trimmed with gold brochade; hat was chip with ostrich feathers to match.
