| George resided in the Hamlet of Burnthwaite when he married Mary Blacklock by license in St Cuthbert Parish Church, Carlisle, Cumberland, on 10 November 1793. Susie Blaylock (Probably Mary's younger sister) and a Joseph Bowman were witnesses. A Joseph Graham, also of Burnthwaite, accompanied George to pay for the Marriage Bond. on 9 November. George was a labourer in 1800. | Burnthwaite is a hamlet in the Township of Blackwell, and in 1847 consisted of five farmhouses and several cottages, three miles south of Carlisle. A George Graham from Brough Hill, Bolton Parish, age 53 was buried on 2 September 1824. This George Graham would have been born in 1771. |
