George Augustus Roberts                     1875-1962 George was born about 1875, the son of Albert James Roberts and Ellen Wace, at Wadhurst, Sussex.   During the First World War he was surgeon to the Winchester Red Cross Hospital.   He was created C.B.E. (Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) in 1920. Florence Muriel Mills                           1880-1957 Florence was born on 8 February 1881, the daughter of Colonel Arthur McLeod Mills, in Barrackpore, India. She always went by the name of Muriel. I have identified the following children:

The Times, Wednesday, Sep 26, 1962                 Obituaries MR. G. A. ROBERTS   Mr. George Augustus Roberts, C.B.E., F.R.C.S., who retired as consulting surgeon to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester, died at his home at Winchester yesterday at the age of 87.   He was born in 1875, son of the Rev. A. Roberts and was educated at Marlborough.   During the First World War he was surgeon to the Winchester Red Cross Hospital.   He was created C.B.E. in 1920.   In 1906 he married Florence Muriel, daughter of Colonel A. McLeod Mills.   They had three sons and two daughters.
