Florence was born in 3 February 1861, the daughter of John Thompson and Harriet Johnson, of Fulwell. She was 27 years old when she married Frederick Alfred Wilson on 17 May 1888. She died at age 78 on 13 August 1939, at 62 Stanhope Gardens, Kensington.

Frederick was born about 1854, the son of John Wilson, shipowner. He married Florence Thompson on 17 May 1888. He died at age 65 on 18 January 1922 at 10 St. George's Terrace, Sunderland
