Memorial Inscriptions in St Peter's, Berkhamsted:

To the memory of Augustus Pechell Esq obit 19 Sept "As gold in the furnace hath he tried them and receives a burnt offering".
Also Paul William Pechell a judge in the Court of Appeals, where he died May 23 1821 aged 38 years.
Also to the memory of Sarah wife of the above Augustus Pechell Esq who died 20 Jan 1839 in the 77 year of her age. Her service may emulate her truth and singleness of heart, her kindness and beneficience, her devoted adoration of the creator and redeemer, but they can inscribe no just testimonial of her excellence and of their love.
Near this place are deposited the remains of Samuel George Pechell R.N. second son of August Pechell Esq who was born July 6 1786 who died Dec 30 1840. In grateful recollection of whose memory this tablet is erected by his affectionate widow.
