Sir Andrew Lusk                                 1810-1909
Andrew was born on 18 September 1810, the son of John Lusk and Margaret Earl, at Pinmore, Barr, Ayreshire. At twenty-five he left home with his brother Robert to start a small wholesale grocery business in Greenock. He moved to London in 1840 and opened premises at 63 Fenchurch Street as a dealer, first in groceries for export, and afterwards in ships' stores. Lusk was the founder of the Imperial Bank in Lothbury in the City of London, and In 1857 he was elected common councilman for Aldgate ward, and on 8 October 1863 alderman of that ward. On 29 September 1873, was chosen lord Mayor of London. On 4 August 1874 he received a baronetcy On 3 July 1865 he was elected Liberal MP for Finsbury, then one of the largest constituencies in London.

Eliza was born 12 April 1826, the daughter of James Potter and Janet Wilson, at Falkirk, Scotland.

Lady Lusk
  Lady Lusk died at her residence, 15 Sussex-square, Hyde Park, on Friday night, in her 85th year.   She was a daughter of the late Mr. James Potter, of Grahamstown, Falkirk, and was married to Sir Andrew (then Mr.) Lusk in 1848.   Her husband was Lord Mayor in 1873-4 and was created a Baronet.   They celebrated their diamond wedding in 1908.   Sir Andrew died in June last year, leaving no issue.
